Smart Training Curriculum for ERP System Roll-out

Introducing a revolutionary ERP system promised transformative process improvements and innovative ways of working. To realize these benefits quickly and ensure seamless business continuity, a smart and scalable training strategy was essential to equip over 30,000 staff across the organization with the knowledge and skills to succeed.

Implementation

OXYGY designed a curriculum structured in four systematic stages, each building on the previous one, to create an easy-to-follow and effective learning flow:
Step 1. Fundamentals: This step covered the purpose and vision of the transformation.
Step 2. System Ecosystem: This step explained the relevant architecture of the transformation, the system navigation, including internal controls, reporting functionality, master data concepts and other linked applications. This included also the overview of business processes, called “Generic Flows”, which are specific value chains by function.
Step 3. Function-Specific Training: This step provided over one hundred function-specific training courses for processes such as finance, procurement, supply chain operations, and commercial, and including hands-on practice sessions.
Step 4. Hypercare: This step was designed to provide additional hands-on support or retraining as needed.

Achievements

The smart training curriculum, combined with a robust Train-the-Trainer model, created a logical and effective learning journey that empowered employees from the very start. Employees embraced the new processes and tools with confidence, resulting in swift adoption across all roles. The program minimized disruption to operations, as evidenced by the hotline receiving far fewer tickets and queries than anticipated, highlighting the effectiveness of the training approach. Furthermore, the structured methodology enabled the organization to achieve critical business milestones ahead of schedule, unlocking the benefits of the transformation earlier than expected. By ensuring that employees were not only trained but also equipped for sustainable change, OXYGY helped the client achieve both immediate and long-term business goals connected to the new system.
