The Quality Assurance (QA) department of an R&D organization in the Pharmaceutical industry wanted to define their 3-year department strategy and positioning, aligned with the ambitious goals and growth strategies of the company, and to implement activities to support these strategies.

The client wanted to change how their department was perceived within R&D, moving from a situation where they were seen as an obstacle to innovation, to being seen as a trusted partner to enable smoother innovation. To do so, they needed to fully understand their current positioning within R&D, both from an internal perspective and based on the views of their key stakeholders. Gaining a better understanding of how the department was currently perceived, this would then help them to develop a clear mission and vision for the future, and define strategies to grow and develop the department in tandem with their key stakeholders.

Over the course of the 2 year project, 7 different workstreams were created, each with a distinct but parallel objective aligned to the newly defined mission, vision, and leadership agenda of the department. OXYGY supported each of the workstream teams through activity planning and implementation phases. The progress of the workstreams was monitored through monthly Steering Committee meetings, and yearly workshops to present the completed work to the whole department.
