Within Life Sciences, Steve has experience in medical diagnostics, biologics, pharmaceutical, nutritional, sterile products and chemical businesses, including Development and Commercial Operations. He has proven expertise in running global engineering organizations and building green field factories including developing and auditing quality systems.

 

Steve led the transformation of operations for a leading pharmaceutical company.  The results speak for themselves:

  • Improved quality and increased in customer service from 95% to 99.7%
  • Reduced organizational levels from eight to three
  • Reduced inventory by 30%
  • Reduced product throughput time by 70%

These were achieved at 25 sites across the company’s global operations network. It is known in the industry as a benchmark in using lean to transform operations in support of business strategy.

Steve is particularly effective in cross-cultural environments, having worked for nineteen years in the North America, nine years in Europe and four years in Central and South America as well as Asia.
